Hazardous Materials Training and Hazardous Materials Course Perth

Hazardous materials training course is designed to assist employers and employees in understanding the characteristics, hazards and legislative requirements surrounding the safe storage and handling of hazardous substances.

A combination of theory and practical demonstrations will allow participants to read and understand MSDS’s, the 9 hazardous substances list and the approved criteria for classifying hazardous substances. Participants will learn the PPE requirements for working with hazardous chemicals and how to correctly don such equipment.

The course includes activities on risk assessing hazardous substances, establishing a hazardous incident scene and decontamination. Information on the HazChem code will allow participants to understand how such chemicals need to be dealt with, understand Hazmat signs and how to complete a hazardous action guide.
